I had a fabulous birthday this year. I think it’s because I’ve had a lot of years of practice. I received so many greetings on Facebook and eCards in my inbox. I really felt cared for and special.
In South Sudan, the tradition is to treat others on your birthday. So I asked some of the ladies to make some treats that I could share. What I didn’t know is that Dan had also planned to provide treats. It was a morning of sugar overload – and it was wonderful.
Dan gave me the gift of attending the Speak Up Conference. Traditionally the conference is in Grand Rapids, but COVID-19 caused the event to go virtual this year. It was an amazing 3 days and a gift that keeps on giving as I’m still having appointments and I can watch all the videos for a year.
Thank you to all my friends and family for making my day extra special.
